Net-Gateway delivers low-cost, highly efficient protocol translationbetween the workstation local-area network (LAN) and IBM's System NetworkArchitecture (SNA) protocol. It can establish an LU 6.2 connectionbetween a SPARC-based workstation server and the mainframe, and mapdatabase Remote Procedure Calls (RPCs) to CICS transactions.To control access into the mainframe environment, Net-Gateway has tracefacilities and debugging aids, as well as networking monitoring andmanagement. SYBASE gateway security ensures that only authorized userscan access specified data. Furthermore, SYBASE contains interfaces tomainframe security packages.
